And....begin

As I sit in Dave's house in Od Hasharon I can only think to myself "What can't socialism give me?" and the answer is...the bliss of a comfortable life in the suburbs! God I love high speed internet its so awesome. I guess right now the way to post a blog is to click the "respond" link or whatever at the bottom of the message. I hope that this can be a forum for constructive yet extremely entertaining brainstorming and cultural regalia. So go for it, let the world know what you think. Maybe someone will listen. Maybe someone will care. Maybe, just maybe, you are a genius.

Wait a second. I'm no Dave Shomer but I know cynicism when I see it. Stop being so funny, "The S Man", we can all see right through it.

Its taken me a really long time to post, (in part because I didn’t know where the blog was and in part because I didn’t know what to say). Mifgash was so incrediably influential. It really did change how I perceive hashomer in my life. When adam first brought up the idea of a bogrim shnat it didn’t seem realistic. But as we kept talking it became so much more real. To the point where I ended up being fully certain I was coming despite all obstacles. Coming home and being brought back into reality has upset me a lot. There is a lot of complicated stuff that I detached from when I was on mifgash. The problems go a lot deeper than school or money. And basically I need to be in Canada next year for loads of reasons. And it bothers me not only because I know I would have gained so much, but because I feel like I started to form relationships with people who I intended to be in a kvutza with. I really don’t want to miss out on those friendships and bonds. So now I’m disappointed in myself for jumping so many steps ahead when I was in Israel and getting my hopes up. But, not going to Israel next year can’t destroy the relationship I am developing with HH. I need to look at next year as an opportunity to work with and improve HH Canada. I really want to keep in contact with the kvutza in Israel and help you however I can from here. I’m so proud of everyone that has made the decision to go next year. Good luck!
